Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, a flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, recently declared himself an “impactful leader,” attributing his success to his belief in the inherent potential of all individuals.
Speaking at the inaugural symposium and awards launch hosted by the Asante Youth Association (AYA) in Kumasi, Dr. Adutwum explained that the support he received from his uneducated parents to pursue higher education fundamentally changed the fortunes of his family, community, and the nation.
He emphasized that every child has the potential to be great and influential in their chosen field, a message he hopes resonates with all Ghanaian students.
The MP shared his personal journey, expressing gratitude for God’s grace and the education he received from Jachie Pramso SHS, Kumasi High School, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He noted that through his own educational journey, he has been able to sponsor 190 engineering and medical students in his constituency, stressing that a truly fulfilling life is measured by the number of people one helps.
Dr. Adutwum also offered advice to the youth, urging them to remain committed to their career paths and to persevere despite obstacles. “I am aspiring to lead the NPP and become the President of Ghana so I can be the door to unleashing many potentials,” he stated, “so that we can, as a people, drive destiny-changing initiatives to develop the country we wish to see.”
