Obeng Sekyere boycotts Kotoko National Supporters Elections over alleged unfair voting software, Calls on his supporters to withdraw from voting (Video)

Obeng Sekyere, one of the two contestants in the ongoing Kotoko National Supporters elections, has announced his withdrawal from the race, citing concerns over the integrity of the voting process.

Speaking at a press conference aired on Kessben TV, Sekyere called on his supporters to boycott the election, alleging that the software being used for the voting process appears to be unfairly skewed in favor of his competitor, Solomon Ofosu Ware.

Sekyere expressed serious doubts about the transparency of the digital voting system, claiming it could not guarantee a free and fair election. “The system seems to have been built to benefit one side. This is not what democracy within our supporters’ union should look like,” he said.

The boycott has cast a shadow over what was expected to be a competitive and democratic process between the two well-known figures within the Asante Kotoko supporters’ front. While Solomon Ofosu Ware has not publicly responded to the allegations, the situation has sparked heated debate among fans and stakeholders, many of whom are calling for an investigation into the claims.

It remains to be seen how the election committee will respond to these developments and whether the election will proceed as planned or face delays with the closing time for voting approaching.

Supporters and observers alike are now watching closely, hoping for clarity and a resolution that restores confidence in the election process.
