Akwatia By-Election: Even if (NDC) brings all the military men from Afghanistan, NPP members should go out and vote – Kwasi Kyei

As tensions rise ahead of the highly anticipated Akwatia by-election, Kwasi Kyei, a communications team member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), issued a passionate rallying call to party supporters.
“Even if they [the ruling NDC] bring all the military men from Afghanistan, members should go out and vote,” he declared, expressing concern over what he described as attempts by the government to intimidate voters through the deployment of heavy security forces.
The Akwatia by-election, triggered by the sudden resignation of the sitting Member of Parliament due to health reasons, has become a political flashpoint.
Both the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition NPP are fiercely contesting the seat, which has historically been a swing constituency.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Adwenkyere with Wofa Kofi Appiah, he urged NPP supporters not to be intimidated or discouraged, insisting that their vote is their power and must be exercised boldly.
