Youth Group exposes Raymond Archer over “deliberate lies” on Shatta’s Lamborghini

The Youth for Accountable Governance (YFAG) has condemned the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, accusing him of deliberately “misleading and deceiving” the Ghanaian public and orchestrating a targeted media campaign against innocent individuals in connection with Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini.

A press statement issued on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, by YFAG’s convenor, Benjamin Gyawu Appiah, accused Archer of “misleading the public and tarnishing the reputations of innocent individuals,” describing such actions as “deeply concerning” given his role as a custodian of law and protector of national interests.

The youth group revealed that independent checks conducted through internationally recognized vehicle history services confirmed that Shatta Wale’s yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus with VIN: ZPBCA1ZL7KLA01914 is legitimate and “not stolen.” According to the statement, the vehicle “has a verifiable ownership history, has never been reported stolen, and has not been involved in any theft, accident or salvage situation.”

Records from Bumper and Carfax, the statement said, confirm that the car “has a lawful title, a documented resale trail, and routine maintenance history.” Carfax also reportedly verified that the vehicle was exported legally from the United States and imported into Ghana by a licensed exporter. YFAG dismissed claims that the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) contacted Ghana regarding the vehicle as “completely false.”

The youth group further alleged that Archer “deliberately misled the Ghanaian public regarding the yellow Lamborghini,” and that he personally contacted the FBI “to frame a narrative that suggested the car was involved in criminal activity abroad,” describing it as “a calculated effort to mislead both the Ghanaian public and the international community.” YFAG condemned these actions as “a deliberate abuse of power and a misuse of his office.”

The statement also raised alarm over Archer’s alleged attempts to involve Kwabena Adu-Boahene in these claims, stating that he “has reportedly enlisted bloggers and faceless media commentators, including YouTube personalities, to propagate unverified information linking Mr. Adu-Boahene to Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini.” YFAG’s independent investigations, the statement said, “confirm that Mr. Adu-Boahene has no connection to the vehicle or the artiste. Any suggestion otherwise is a fabrication.”

Highlighting the broader implications, YFAG argued that Archer’s conduct “raises serious questions about his commitment to professionalism, transparency, and accountability,” adding that “an institution such as EOCO exists to uphold justice and protect the nation from economic and organized crime,” and that misleading the public “undermines the credibility of the office and erodes public trust.”

The youth group called on the government to investigate Archer’s actions and ensure accountability, urging media houses and journalists to “exercise caution and verify facts before publishing information that could harm innocent people.” They also urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant against misleading narratives.

YFAG further stated: “EOCO cannot and must not be used as a tool for political vendetta. Raymond Archer’s reckless and diabolical attempts to malign Kwabena Adu-Boahene are a gross abuse of power and a betrayal of public trust.” The group stressed that “any attempts to manipulate public perception through falsehoods or media campaigns will not succeed.”

YFAG reaffirmed its commitment to truth and justice, stressing that “the legal principle of innocent until proven guilty remains intact” and warning that “any attempt to destroy [Adu-Boahene’s] reputation outside the courtroom is bound to fail.”

The group called on the government, media, and public to “reject manipulation, demand justice, and ensure that state institutions serve the people as intended.” The YFAG’s statement emphasized: “Truth will prevail, and those who seek to undermine it will be exposed.”
