Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, has joined the President of the Republic, H.E John Dramani Mahama and other Cabinet Ministers in Japan to participate in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), which will be held from 20th to 22nd August 2025 in Yokohama, Japan.

The Summit will bring together African leaders, Japan, and international partners to co-create innovative solutions under three key pillars: economy, society, and peace and stability. It is jointly hosted by the Government of Japan, the United Nations, the UNDP, the World Bank, and the African Union Commission.

Since its inception in 1993, TICAD has provided a unique platform for dialogue and partnership to advance Africa’s sustainable development agenda.

This year’s edition is expected to build on past successes by fostering stronger cooperation and practical commitments in trade, investment, and human development.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare will deliver an address on the theme; *Leveraging Innovation for Africa’s Industrial Transformation; Building Resilience in a Globalised Economy”*

She will also engage in bilateral meetings to deepen Ghana’s trade relations and explore new opportunities for collaboration aimed at boosting agribusiness, industry, and broader economic growth.
