Janet Nabla Calls Out Fake Degree Holders In Public Sector

Janet Nabla, the Leader and Chairperson of the People’s National Party (PNP), took aim at those holding fake academic qualifications in the public sector. Nabla specifically pointed out individuals who have falsified their master’s and first degrees, declaring that the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) is coming for them.

Her message was clear: GTEC’s investigation into fraudulent academic credentials isn’t limited to professors or PhD holders — anyone who has presented fake qualifications, regardless of their current position or the administration under which they were appointed, will face scrutiny.

“The time for hiding behind fake degrees is over. Whether appointed under Mahama’s government or currently serving in public offices, if you hold a fraudulent qualification, GTEC is coming for you,” Nabla wrote. “We will no longer tolerate those who deceive the system and the people.”

Nabla’s post has already sparked a wave of responses, with many praising her for holding individuals accountable for academic dishonesty, while others have raised concerns over potential political implications. As the push to cleanse the public sector gains momentum, it remains to be seen how GTEC will carry out this sweeping investigation and whether any high-profile figures will be implicated.

The PNP continues to demand transparency, with Nabla emphasizing the importance of proper qualifications and the value of true educational achievement.
