KNUST Wins 7th Edition of Tertiary Business Sense Challenge

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has emerged victorious in the 7th edition of the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC), held at Zenith University College in Accra on August 9, 2025. The university scored an impressive 77.17 points, securing their second national title and outperforming defending champions University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) by a significant margin of 23 points ¹.
Competition Highlights
KNUST’s Dominant Performance: Led by Kwadwo Acheampong Opoku, the KNUST team demonstrated exceptional business acumen, answering questions with precision and confidence. Acheampong Opoku was named the Overall Best Performer, receiving a plaque and an undisclosed cash award.
UGBS and UEW’s Performance: University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) placed second with 54 points, while University of Education, Winneba (UEW) finished third with 51.83 points. Both universities received medals, books, and cash prizes.
Competition Format: The challenge consisted of six rounds, including business case presentations, graphic business stories, and riddles. KNUST excelled in all rounds, showcasing their comprehensive understanding of business concepts.

The KNUST team expressed joy and pride in their achievement, with Kwadwo Acheampong Opoku stating that he hopes to leverage this award to secure opportunities in top accounting firms in Ghana. The School of Business at KNUST is already looking forward to next year’s competition, aiming for a back-to-back win.
