The unfortunate incident, which occurred earlier this week, has sent shockwaves through the country, prompting outpourings of grief, condolences, and calls for investigation into the cause of the crash.

Speaking on Kessben FM, a prominent Kumasi-based radio station, Mr. Akuako Frimpong, the former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Central, expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.

“Our thoughts and prayers should go to the family of the 8 victims of the helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom. This is not just a tragedy for one community, but a painful moment for the entire nations” He said on Kessben FM.

According to reports, the helicopter encountered technical difficulties and crashed near a remote area of Akrofuom. Emergency response teams were dispatched swiftly, but all eight passengers aboard, including the pilot and technical crew, perished in the crash.

Preliminary investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. Aviation authorities have called for patience and calm as they work through the details.

Mr. Frimpong echoed these concerns, stating that while accidents do happen, systems must be in place to minimize risks and ensure accountability.
