Adansi Helicopter Crash: President Mahama asks Ato Forson, Armah-Kofi Buah to act as Defence, Environment Ministers

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister of Finance, has been instructed by President John Dramani Mahama to assume more responsibility as the defence minister and Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Lands and Natural Resources, also doubling as the Minister for Environment.

On Thursday, August 7, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President’s spokesperson, made this announcement in a press release.

These appointments follow the catastrophic helicopter crash that killed the substantive ministries of science, technology, and defence and environment the day before they were on their way to a ceremony in Obuasi.

A Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter carrying the high-ranking officials was traveling to Obuasi on a national assignment when it crashed into a forest and caught fire, killing everyone inside.
