Ghana Breathes Again: Western Region Chiefs Hail President Mahama as National Experience Unprecedented Renewal

The Western Regional House of Chiefs praised President Mahama’s current administration’s first six months, describing it as a transformative period of national restoration.

Speaking during the courtesy visit to President Mahama on Wednesday, 30th July,2025 by the Western Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Kobina Nketsia V, the Paramount Chief of Essikado Traditional Area and President of Western Regional House of Chiefs highlighted the government’s commitment to “resetting Ghana” and emphasized the country’s remarkable progress.

Nana Kobina Nketsia V delivered a passionate endorsement of the president’s vision, emphasizing strategic regional development and national transformation.

“We are witnesses to the fact that within six months, the people of Ghana are experiencing a sagacious differential and people-centered leadership,” He proclaimed, highlighting the administration’s early impact.

The meeting spotlighted critical development priorities, with particular focus on the petroleum hub project. “A successful completion of the petroleum hub project in the western region would transform this country,” Nana Kobina Nketsia V emphasized, describing it as “a strategic anchor Initiative, a new pillar of growth in the Ghanaian economy.”

Significant infrastructure commitments were outlined, including plans for a manganese processing plant and lithium refinery. “This is the added value that we’ve been seeking,” Nana Kobina Nketsia noted, underscoring optimism about industrial diversification.

Addressing environmental challenges, Nana Kobina Nketsia V showed strong support for combating illegal mining. “The rivers are ours. It’s about our future. The land is ours. It’s about our future,” He passionately declared.

The event underscored a community-driven approach to development. “We want you collectively to reset and rebuild the country we all want,” He stated, emphasizing grassroots involvement.

“When you march forward with the Western Region, you will march forward with Ghana.” He added.
