IERPP holds press conference on Mahama Govt’s 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review on Wednesday

The Institute of Economic Research and Public Policy (IERPP) will on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, hold a press conference to present a detailed analysis of the Mahama-led administration’s 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review.
Scheduled to take place at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra, the event will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM under the theme “Unpacking Critical Elements of the Government’s 2025 Mid-Year Fiscal Review.” The platform will bring together leading policy analysts and economists from the think tank, who will dissect key aspects of the budget with a focus on its economic implications and policy direction.
Speakers lined up for the engagement include the think tank’s leading experts, such as Professor Isaac Boadi, Dr. Frank Bannor, Dr. Kwasi Nyame-Baafi, and Dr. George Domfe. They are expected to offer insights into developments within the Real Sector, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, and the Energy Sector as outlined in the Finance Minister’s presentation to Parliament.
The upcoming event falls in line with IERPP’s mandate of fostering transparent and evidence-based economic governance. By providing critical, nonpartisan analysis of government policy, the institute aims to deepen public understanding of the fiscal review while offering alternative perspectives and recommendations where necessary.
Media houses will be invited to cover the event. It will also be streamed live on all social media platforms to ensure wide coverage and facilitate informed national dialogue on Ghana’s economic trajectory under the current administration.
