Don’t let your celebrity thing tie you up to look down on others – Legendary Gospel musician, Minister OJ

Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Minister OJ, has shared a message about humility and respect in the entertainment industry. Speaking on Kessben Drive with Fante Quoo, the legendary gospel artist made it clear that fame and popularity have never gotten to his head.

Minister OJ, known for timeless gospel hits like “Etse S3n?” and “Mehia Wo Yesu,” emphasized that fame is fleeting, but character and humility endure. He said many people allow the spotlight to change them, but he has made a conscious effort to remain grounded and approachable.

With over two decades in the music industry, Minister OJ has earned his place as one of Ghana’s most respected gospel musicians. His lyrics often explore deep themes of faith, human struggle, repentance, and divine grace, resonating with both the young and old.

During the conversation with Fante Quoo, Minister OJ reflected on how some celebrities distance themselves from the very people who helped them rise.

“This is the kind of message we need,” one fan posted. “Thank you, Minister OJ, for reminding us that respect and humility are more important than popularity.”

Though not always in the media spotlight, Minister OJ continues to record, perform, and mentor younger gospel artists. He revealed during the interview that he is currently working on a new album, which will feature collaborations with some of Ghana’s rising gospel talents.
