Stop envying & feeling threatened by what others have, you should rather feel inspired that you can also get that – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Reverend Vincent Kankam has reiterated that people should stop envying and feeling threatened by what others have, stressing that’s not Christlike.
Speaking with calm authority, the respected minister emphasized the need for a mindset shift among Ghanaians especially in a time when comparison, jealousy, and silent rivalry have become common in both personal and professional circles.
“We see someone succeed and instead of being inspired, we feel threatened. That’s not the spirit of Christ. That’s the spirit of the world,” Rev. Kankam said.
Rev. Kankam warned that envy is a silent destroyer one that corrodes the soul, breeds resentment, and ultimately blinds people from their own potential.
Rather than feeling threatened or discouraged by the progress of others, he urged listeners to let such moments serve as inspiration, not intimidation.
Rev. Kankam stressed that Christlike behavior involves celebrating others without bitterness and trusting that God’s timing is perfect.
He also pointed out that social media has intensified the problem, as many now measure their worth by what others post, often not realizing that what they see is only the highlight reel, not the full story.
