One of Ghana’s biggest problems is equalization of wrongdoing by NPP and NDC – Veteran Journalist, Wofa Kofi Appiah calls out NPP & NDC

Wofi Kofi Appiah has stated that one of Ghana’s biggest problems is the persistent equalization and justification of bad things by the country’s two leading political parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Wofa Kofi Appiah, speaking on Adwenkyere lamented the way political discourse in Ghana often turns into a blame game, where parties defend wrongdoings by pointing to similar actions by their opponents.
Equalization, a term used in Ghanaian political circles to describe the tendency of defending a wrongdoing by citing a similar one committed by an opposing party, has become a common feature in political debates.
Whether it’s issues of corruption, abuse of power, or failed promises, party communicators are often quick to justify misdeeds with counter-accusations.
Wofi Kofi Appiah argued that this mindset is not only toxic but a major hindrance to national development.
The veteran presenter called on both the media and citizens to rise above partisan lenses and focus on national interest. He emphasized that the future of Ghana depends on consistent accountability, not convenient comparisons.
