NDC helps the country when in power, They don’t discriminate and aren’t about certificates like the NPP – Oboy Siki

Kumawood actor Oboy Siki has expressed strong support for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), describing the party as inclusive and genuinely committed to national development.
Speaking on Music Plus with Mr Bonez, Oboy Siki praised the NDC for being a party that does not discriminate based on background or status.
According to him, the NDC has a long-standing tradition of opening its doors to people from all walks of life, giving opportunities to individuals regardless of their educational qualifications or social class.
“The NDC is not a discriminatory party. They don’t look down on people because they don’t have a certain level of education. When they are in power, they help the country,” he said during the live interview.
The actor didn’t mince words when contrasting the NDC with the ruling NPP. He criticized what he perceives as the NPP’s overemphasis on academic qualifications and certificates, claiming it has created a culture where only the “educated elite” are considered worthy of leadership and opportunity.
Oboy Siki, who has been in the entertainment industry for decades, emphasized that many talented and capable Ghanaians are overlooked simply because they don’t have university degrees. He argued that real-life experience, grassroots connection, and compassion for the average Ghanaian are more important qualities in political leadership than academic credentials.
