Amendments at NPP conference:  We’ve addressed fairness & filled critical voids – Kennedy Kankam

Former Member of Parliament for the Nhyiaeso constituency, Kennedy Kankam, has praised the party’s recent constitutional amendments, calling them a significant step toward fairness, inclusiveness, and organizational growth.

Speaking on Kessben FM, Kankam stated that the decisions made at the NPP’s recent national delegates conference were both timely and necessary.

Hon. Kankam emphasized that one of the major goals of the amendment process was to ensure equity within the party’s structure, from the grassroots to the national level. According to him, some long-standing concerns about representation, transparency, and internal cohesion have now been adequately addressed.

He explained that these changes were not just symbolic, but practical measures that empower local party members, improve accountability, and bring clarity to roles and responsibilities within the party hierarchy.

Kankam also pointed out that the amendments have filled some “critical voids” that had, over the years, created friction or confusion in party operations.

He added that the new constitutional framework would help the NPP present a more united front ahead of the 2024 general elections, which he described as a crucial moment in the party’s history.

According to Hon. Kankam, the NPP has set itself on a stronger footing to face both internal and external challenges
