Agradaa was spoiling the next generation & I’m very happy that she has been jailed, they should have given her more years – Oboy Siki

Kumawood actor Oboy Siki has added his voice to the national conversation surrounding the recent sentencing of self-styled evangelist and former fetish priestess, Patricia Asieduaa, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

Speaking during an interview on Kessben with Mr. Bonez, Oboy Siki expressed satisfaction over the news of Agradaa’s 15-year jail sentence, stating bluntly that he was “happy she was arrested.”

Oboy Siki did not hold back his criticism of Agradaa, describing her as a negative influence on Ghana’s youth. According to him, Agradaa’s online presence and activities,  particularly her controversial “money-doubling” scams,  had set a dangerous precedent, especially on social media where young people are highly impressionable.

“I’m happy she’s been arrested and jailed,” Oboy Siki declared. “In fact, the 15 years isn’t even enough. She was spoiling the upcoming generation with her lies and fake miracles.”

The outspoken actor also suggested that Agradaa’s imprisonment could serve as a turning point for social media in Ghana. He believes the sentence will send a strong message to other self-proclaimed spiritual leaders and internet personalities who use their platforms for manipulation and fraud..

Oboy Siki emphasized the importance of accountability, particularly in a digital age where misinformation and manipulation can spread rapidly. He called on the authorities to continue cracking down on such figures to restore trust and morality in Ghana’s media and religious landscape.

Agradaa was convicted on multiple counts related to defrauding her followers under the guise of spiritual help and promises of financial returns. Her arrest and sentencing came after a long period of public scrutiny and multiple allegations of fraud, many of which she initially denied.
