“You will always regret big time & severely if you rush for success, but with patience comes true success.” – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Rev. Vincent Kankam has issued a powerful caution about the dangers of haste and the unmatched value of long-term, patient progress.
Speaking on the Friday edition of the Food For Thought program on Kessben FM, he emphasized that many young people today are in a hurry to “make it” chasing shortcuts, viral fame, and fast money. But more often than not, such pursuits lead to burnout, poor decisions, and long-lasting consequences.
He cited examples of individuals who, in their rush to succeed, compromised on integrity, neglected their mental health, or engaged in unethical practices, only to suffer regrets later. The loss is often not just financial, but emotional, spiritual, and even relational.
Rev Kankam asserts that true success is rarely instant. He explained that real achievement comes through a process of growth, patience, learning, failing, adjusting, and maturing.
He encouraged listeners to embrace the journey rather than chase the end goal. According to him, patience allows individuals to build resilience, gain wisdom, and develop the kind of character that sustains success over time.
