“Any marital issue that comes public or on the Radio for a solution, the marriage has turned to Borla goods” – MC Opare

MC Opare speaking on Kessben FM’s Drive Time Show hosted by Quoo Fante. According to him, once couples bring their marital issues to the public domain, especially radio, for resolution, the relationship has already deteriorated beyond repair.

MC Opare’s remarks came during a segment (BAMASO) discussing modern relationships and the growing trend of couples airing grievances on radio shows and social media platforms. The candid statement has stirred mixed reactions among listeners, with some praising his honesty and others calling the comment too extreme.

He argued that once private marital disputes reach the point of public debate, it signifies a breakdown in communication, trust, and mutual respect, core elements necessary for any successful union.

In recent years, Ghanaian media has seen a rise in radio and television segments where couples bring their personal issues to public platforms for discussion and intervention.

While some see this as a way to seek help and expose unhealthy behavior, others, like MC Opare, believe it trivializes marriage and turns sacred matters into entertainment.

Others, however, challenged his view, insisting that going public is sometimes the only way to get attention, especially when one partner feels ignored or abused within the marriage.
