QNET Opens Compliance Office in Ghana to Combat Fraud and Misinformation

QNET, a lifestyle and wellness company, has taken a significant step towards combating fraud and misinformation in Ghana with the opening of its dedicated Compliance Office in the country. The office, which serves as a critical touchpoint in the fight against criminal syndicates misusing the company’s name, is committed to accountability, enforcement, and protection.
In her speech at the opening ceremony, Naana Quartey, Head of Compliance at QNET, emphasized the importance of the office in ensuring that the company operates with full transparency and accountability. She highlighted the office’s three clear commitments: accountability, enforcement, and protection.
The Compliance Office will serve as a single point of contact for all regulatory and legal matters concerning QNET in Ghana, engaging proactively with government bodies, including the National Police and Ghana Immigration Service. The office will also monitor the activities of QNET’s independent distributors across the country, ensuring that they operate within the boundaries of the law and respecting ethical business conduct.
“We will not only respond to fraud, but also work to prevent it,” Naana Quartey stated. “This office will serve to protect the public from fraudsters misusing our name, protect our partners from misinformation, and protect victims of scams by supporting investigations and pre-empting crime through intelligence sharing with security agencies.”
Biram Fall, QNET Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasized the significance of the office launch, stating that it demonstrates the company’s commitment to legitimacy and transparency. “We’re here to stay, and we will do whatever it takes to grow our market in Ghana and across West Africa,” he said. “We’ve experienced some hurdles, but we’re committed to working hard and providing opportunities for people to learn about our business and values.”
The Ghana Police Service has welcomed the opening of the Compliance Office, with COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, Director General of CID, stating that it will help to partner with QNET to ensure that the right thing is done. “We’ll be able to work together to weed out people who take advantage of their name to do illegal things or scam people,” she said. “It’s about time that we reduce all of these counts that are happening within our country and outside.”
The opening of the Compliance Office is a significant step towards building a stronger, more transparent, and more accountable QNET in Ghana. The company is committed to working closely with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and the media to ensure that accurate information is disseminated to the public and that those who misuse the company’s name are brought to justice.
By working together with stakeholders, QNET aims to prevent fraud and misinformation, protecting both the public and its business partners. As QNET continues to engage with communities across Ghana, the company is committed to upholding the truth about its business and values. The opening of the Compliance Office is a significant milestone in this journey, demonstrating QNET’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and protection.
