QNET and EOCO Collaborate to Dismantle Criminal Networks

In a significant move to tackle fraudulent activities and protect vulnerable individuals, QNET and Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) have entered into a formal collaboration. This strategic partnership, based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to address the growing concern of fraud, illegal migration schemes, and human trafficking operations.
The collaboration is a response to the increasing number of scams involving fake job offers, scholarship scams, and false promises of international opportunities. These scams often misuse the names of legitimate companies to deceive unsuspecting victims. EOCO and QNET are committed to identifying and dismantling these criminal networks.
Through this partnership, QNET and EOCO will work together to proactively investigate and disrupt criminal schemes, facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building on detecting and preventing fraud and human trafficking, raise public awareness about potential scams, and share information on suspicious activities to improve enforcement action.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to safeguarding individuals and communities from exploitation. QNET’s ongoing efforts to support law enforcement agencies and community education, combined with EOCO’s mandate to investigate and prosecute organised crime, will help protect citizens and maintain the integrity of the economy.
