If you accept to marry, Just accept that you have signed up for a difficult job – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam) tells young men & women

Rev. Vincent Kankam has advised young men and women to approach marriage with a sober mindset and a strong work ethic.

Speaking to listeners on the popular dawn program Food For Thought, the Reverend made a striking statement that has since sparked widespread discussion

He emphasized that marriage is not a romantic fairytale or a leisure activity, but a serious, lifelong commitment that demands effort, patience, and responsibility from both partners. According to him, many modern relationships fail because people enter into them with unrealistic expectations, forgetting that love must be backed by daily hard work and mutual sacrifice.

Rev Kankam’s message is a direct challenge to the increasingly casual attitude with which some young people approach marriage.

He warned against the illusion that love alone can sustain a union without discipline and consistent effort.

Sofo Kankam likened marriage to a long-term job that comes without a retirement plan. He urged listeners to take time to prepare themselves emotionally, spiritually, and mentally before entering into such a profound commitment.
