I ‘chopped’ DCE for 13 years without stealing, Today, I can freely walk in town & roam around my constituency without fear – Hon Akuoko Frimpong

Hon. Akuoko Frimpong, the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Central, has reminded current government appointees that it is possible to serve with dignity and leave office without scandal.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Akuoko Frimpong revealed that he served as DCE for 13 years, yet today he walks freely in his constituency without fear or shame, a feat he attributes to honesty and responsible leadership during his tenure.
“I was DCE for 13 good years. Today, I walk freely in town and in my constituency because I did not misappropriate funds, and I didn’t abuse my power,” he told Kessben FM’s host with calm confidence.
He emphasized that public office should never be seen as a shortcut to personal wealth but rather as an opportunity to serve one’s community with humility and integrity.
He warned that time will expose bad leaders, and those who plunder public funds will one day have to face their constituents without the cover of political office
His legacy, according to residents of the Sekyere district, is remembered more for developmental projects and open-door governance than for extravagance or political arrogance.
