It’s normal around the world for new Gov’t to get goodwill so even if they are cheating, people say they are new – Collins Owusu Amankwah on NDC Gov’t

Former Manhyia North MP, Collins Owusu Amankwah, has reiterated that it is normal around the world that every new government enjoys a period of goodwill.”
Speaking on Kessben FM, he highlighted the universal pattern where societies grant incoming administrations an initial benefit of the doubt, even when early questions surface about their conduct.
Owusu Amankwah emphasized that, despite increasing allegations or suspicions that some officials might be “cheating,” the populace commonly maintains a lenient stance because “they are new.” He drew a parallel to Ghana’s newly elected NDC administration, saying the party is currently benefitting from that same global phenomenon. As he put it: “Time will tell.”
Owusu Amankwah noted that new governments, regardless of ideological leanings, typically begin with a phase of optimism and accommodation by the public.
He cautioned against premature judgment, acknowledging that early scandals or accusations often fail to prompt immediate public condemnation.
While acknowledging the fresh mandate they enjoy, he hinted that scrutiny may intensify as time goes on time will tell.
