EKAJ completes capacity-building workshop for 150 artisans in the Asante Akyem South Municipality

This impactful training program took place on 4th July 2025, in partnership with the University of Cape Coast.
The workshop engaged artisans including masons, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, tilers, and painters, aiming to equip them with entrepreneurial skills, Financial Literacy, Customer Service and Quality Assurance. This initiative is part of our broader mission to promote youth empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive community development.
All the 150 artisans who attended the workshop received certificates of participation from UCC, Safety Helmet and reflective vests from EKAJ.
Founded in 2023 by Mr. Eric Amofa with a seed capital of GHS 100,000, the EKAJ Educational Fund is committed to creating equitable educational opportunities for brilliant but underprivileged youth in the Asante Akyem South Municipality.
Some key achievements to date include:
* Financial sponsorship for 15 Senior High School and 10 tertiary students
* Distribution of 5,000 exercise books to all 10 Senior High Schools in the municipality
* Donation of 50 bags of cement to Dampong Jubilee SHS for the construction of a girls’ hostel
* Donation of five ceiling fans to Kyempo Faith JHS
* Contribution of GHS 5,000 and 20 study desks to Banso Presby SHS
