CEA Holds Stakeholder Workshop To Strengthen Curriculum And Content Development

The Acting Executive Director of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA), Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, with support from the Ministry of Education, has led a high-level stakeholder workshop aimed at enhancing curriculum development and content creation in Ghana’s educational system.
Held at the Tomreik Hotel in Accra, the workshop brought together key players under the CEA umbrella, including representatives from the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), technical working groups, and other sector stakeholders.
The theme for the workshop was “Arrival and Understanding of Templates for Curriculum Content Creation,” focusing on how to effectively develop and align educational materials with national standards. Participants examined innovative approaches to curriculum improvement and shared best practices to ensure quality and consistency in teaching and learning across the country.
Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah emphasized that the initiative aligns with the broader vision of the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who has set out a transformative agenda to uplift Ghana’s education sector through quality content and structured reforms.
“This workshop is a key step in ensuring that the education curriculum reflects the needs of today’s learners. We are working hard to build a system that provides not just access, but quality education across all levels,” Ashiamah stated.
Michael Owusu, the Acting Director of NaCCA, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the CEA’s mission. “We need adequate resources, but more importantly, we need unified efforts like this to create impactful change,” he said.
Stakeholders left the workshop with a renewed commitment to delivering high-quality, practical, and relevant curriculum content. The event marked another milestone in Ghana’s efforts to make education more responsive to national development goals.
