Ghana Immigration Service Issues Public Alert on Recruitment Scams

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued a public alert to inform the general public that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercises. This announcement comes after several news items circulating on social media regarding recruitment into the Service.

Official Announcements Only

Through National Newspapers
The GIS wishes to remind the public that all official announcements concerning recruitment into the Service are published exclusively in the national newspapers — the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times — and not on social media platforms.

Caution Against Recruitment Scams

The public is strongly advised to treat all recruitment claims with caution until an official announcement is made through the above-mentioned newspapers. The GIS is aware of the increasing number of fake pages and impersonators on social media who exploit images and videos of the Service and its personnel to mislead unsuspecting members of the public.

Reporting Recruitment Scams

The GIS urges the general public to disregard all unauthorized promises of recruitment, especially those involving demands for payment in exchange for employment. Such claims are fraudulent and should be reported to the Ghana Police Service or the nearest GIS Office immediately.

Stay Vigilant

To all prospective applicants who seek to serve Ghana with honor, the GIS appreciates your interest and encourages you to remain vigilant and patient. Do not fall victim to recruitment scams.
