Prez Mahama’s first 6 months in Governance have shown that the saying that goes like “NPP & NDC are all the same” is not true – Akuoko Frimpong

Former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Central, Hon. Akuoko Frimpong, has dismissed the popular notion that Ghana’s two main political parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are “all the same.”
Speaking on Kessben FM, Hon. Akuoko Frimpong argued that the first six months of President John Mahama’s second coming have clearly demonstrated a significant difference between the two parties, in both governance style and commitment to national development.
Since returning to office after his electoral victory in the 2024 general elections, President Mahama has rolled out a series of initiatives focused on youth employment, infrastructure revival, and fiscal discipline.
The former DCE criticized what he called a lazy and harmful political mindset, the belief that all political leaders are corrupt or ineffective, regardless of party.
According to Hon. Akuoko Frimpong, the performance gap between NPP and NDC is now becoming clear, and Ghanaians must take note as they reflect on the country’s political trajectory.
While acknowledging the strides being made by the NDC government, Frimpong urged the NPP to return to its founding principles of economic transformation, innovation, and integrity.
