 Ibrahim Nelson Yamba, Ahafo Ano South East DCEIbrahim Nelson Yamba, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South East, has emphasized his commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure in the district.

Speaking on Kessben FM he revealed that one of his primary objectives during his tenure is to establish a tertiary institution dedicated to nursing or teacher training. This initiative is part of the broader vision of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to improve access to quality education in underserved regions.

Yamba’s proposal aligns with the NDC’s educational policies, which aim to expand tertiary education opportunities across the country. The establishment of such an institution in Ahafo Ano South East would not only provide local students with access to higher education but also contribute to the development of skilled professionals in critical sectors like healthcare and education.

The district has previously expressed the need for improved educational facilities. For instance, during a parliamentary dialogue organized by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), job creation and educational development were highlighted as key concerns for the youth in the constituency. Candidates from various political parties, including the NDC, have pledged to address these issues by investing in education and creating employment opportunities

Yamba’s commitment to this cause underscores the NDC’s focus on education as a cornerstone of national development. By prioritizing the establishment of a tertiary institution in Ahafo Ano South East, the government aims to empower the youth, reduce regional disparities in educational access, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the Ashanti Region.
