Hearts of Oak Coach Ouattara submits transfer wishlist ahead of 2025/26 Season

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has reportedly submitted a list of players he wishes to sign ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

According to sources close to the club, the Ivorian tactician handed over his transfer wishlist to the Hearts of Oak management earlier this week. The list reportedly includes both local and foreign targets, with a focus on reinforcing key areas where the team struggled last season.

Coach Ouattara is believed to be prioritizing reinforcements in central defense, midfield creativity, and a clinical striker to lead the line. Hearts conceded crucial goals last season and lacked consistency in attack, prompting the technical team to seek experienced and impactful additions.

While some of the targets are established names in the Ghana Premier League, others are said to be plying their trade in neighboring West African leagues, particularly in Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso. Ouattara is known for his vast scouting network across West Africa and is keen to tap into that to bring in fresh talent.

Management is currently assessing the feasibility of the proposed transfers, especially in terms of budget and negotiations. Hearts of Oak’s board is expected to meet in the coming days to finalize plans for the summer transfer window, which officially opens next month.
