2025 BECE: Math sets and others are for learning & training, don’t go and donate such only when BECE is approaching – Dr. Banabas Amanfo tells Polictians & others

Dr. Banabas Addai Amanfo, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Educational Leadership at Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), has emphasized the importance of distributing mathematical sets and other essential learning materials to students well in advance of examinations.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye Show, Dr. Amanfo highlighted that these resources are vital for continuous learning and should not be viewed solely as tools for sitting the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

He pointed out that the timely availability of such resources plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience and ensuring that students are adequately prepared for their academic challenges. By receiving these materials early, students can familiarize themselves with the tools and utilize them effectively throughout their studies, rather than merely for examination purposes.

This perspective aligns with broader educational goals that advocate for proactive support in the learning process. Ensuring that students have access to necessary learning materials ahead of time can contribute to improved academic performance and a more comprehensive educational experience.

Dr. Amanfo’s advocacy for the early distribution of mathematical sets and other learning materials underscores the need for a shift in how educational resources are provided. By prioritizing timely access to these tools, stakeholders can better support students in their educational journeys, fostering an environment conducive to learning and academic success.
