If Ofori Atta knows he has not done anything wrong, why is he running away from the OSP – Dr Isaac Tuffour

Dr Isaac Tuffour, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has publicly questioned the actions of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta regarding his absence from Ghana amid an ongoing investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye programme, Dr Tuffour expressed his concerns, stating, “If Ofori-Atta knows he has done nothing wrong, why is he running away from the OSP?”
The OSP had previously declared Ofori-Atta a fugitive after he failed to return to Ghana for questioning concerning several alleged corruption cases, including the National Cathedral project and the procurement of ambulances for the National Ambulance Service.
Ofori-Atta’s legal team cited medical reasons for his absence, providing documentation from the Mayo Clinic to support his claim.
Dr Tuffour’s comments reflect a broader public discourse on the matter, with some questioning the transparency of the investigation and the handling of Ofori-Atta’s case.
The situation remains dynamic, with ongoing developments and varying perspectives from different stakeholders.
