“If you follow what you love too much, you may not discover what’s in you” – Agyeiwaa

Up-and-coming Ghanaian artist Agyeiwaa is turning heads not just with her latest single Fall Apart featuring Beetztrap, but also with her refreshing honesty and artistic evolution.

Agyeiwaa was once a familiar voice in the gritty world of Asakaa, Ghana’s homegrown version of drill music, birthed from the streets of Kumasi. With its raw energy and street realism, Asakaa has become the anthem of Ghana’s youth rebellion. But for Agyeiwaa, it was a starting point, not a destination.

“In the beginning, I thought that was who I was. It was what everyone was doing around me, and I loved it,” she told Mr. Bonez. “But as time went on, I realized there was another side of me musically that I hadn’t even tried to explore. That’s when I told myself, if I keep chasing only what I love, I might miss the bigger picture of what I can become.”

Her latest release, Fall Apart, is proof of this self-discovery. Featuring talented producer and artist Beetztrap, the song departs from hard drill beats and instead leans into a vulnerable, melodic blend of Afro-fusion and soul. It’s emotional, raw, and beautifully personal, showcasing a side of Agyeiwaa that feels more intimate and less performative.
