African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption (AUABC) State Party Review team arrives in Ghana

From today Monday , 2nd June 2025, AUABC will engage various anti corruption institutions and agencies, the mission in Ghana is a crucial component of the African Union’s continental framework to enhance integrity, access, compliance, and peer learning among member states.
The team is currently in the country upon the invitation of President Mahama to submit Ghana to a peer review of Ghana’s Anti corruption regime and performance. The review mission aims to evaluate progress, celebrate achievements, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance institutional effectiveness and public trust.
The mission’s role in reaffirming the shared commitment to a future where governance is based on ethics, justice, and a firm resolve to combat corruption. The mission supports the goal of building an Africa that thrives on principles of accountability and the rule of law.
AU advisory board delegation to meet with Ghanaian institutions to share experiences and strengthen anti-corruption effort.
The AU advisory board delegation will engage with various key institutions in Ghana’s anti-corruption ecosystem, including the Office of the President, Ministry of Justice, and the Ghana Audit Service.
The 5 days mission will conclude with a National Anti Corruption Conference on Friday 6th June.
A high-level national anti-corruption conference is scheduled for June 6, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Center , with the theme “Revitalizing the Anti-Corruption Architecture in Africa: Ghana’s Accountability Journey.”
