Briphildon Foundation supports 2025 BECE candidates at Dzorwulu JHS

Briphildon Foundation, a registered non-governmental and humanitarian organisation, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, supported the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates at Dzorwulu Junior High School (JHS) with mathematical sets, pens, stationery, and essential toiletries, including toilet rolls.

The donation seeks to ease the financial burden on parents and equip the candidates with the necessary tools to approach their upcoming examination with confidence.

The team from Briphildon Foundation was led by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Bright Philip Donkor, and included key executive members such as Stephen Bernard Donkor, Stanley Sitso Gbadegbe, Osariemen Agbontaen, John Awuni, Newton Gabriel, Beaulla Adzorgble, Ericson Novieku and Isaac Nii Tackie.

Speaking during a brief presentation ceremony, Mr. Donkor noted that the gesture, dubbed the “Outreach Programme to Support BECE Candidates,” was born out of the Foundation’s desire to ensure that no student is left behind due to a lack of basic exam materials. He emphasised that beyond relieving families of some financial stress, the initiative was also intended to inspire the candidates to aim for excellence in their final examination, which begins on Wednesday, June 11, and ends on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

“This simple gesture should remind us of what the Bible teaches about giving. Scripture is filled with wisdom on generosity. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, the Apostle Paul writes, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Giving should flow from the heart, not from pressure or obligation. When we give joyfully and willingly, we reflect the very nature of God, who gave us His only Son.

“Supporting our young brothers and sisters goes beyond meeting material needs—it is about planting seeds of hope. These students represent the future of our nation, and by investing in their education, even in small ways, we contribute to building a brighter and more empowered society,” he stated.

“As a foundation, we believe in their dreams. We stand with them and pray that God protects and strengthens them with good health and sound minds as they sit for the BECE. May they excel and come out with flying colours. May we continue to be channels of God’s grace, touching lives in both visible and unseen ways. And as we give, may we always remember the words of Acts 20:35: “It is more blessed to give than to receive,”” he added.

*Advice*

He encouraged the candidates to study diligently and strive to gain admission to their preferred senior high schools. He also cautioned them against engaging in any form of examination malpractice, reminding them that integrity is crucial for long-term success and that dishonesty in exams could jeopardise their future.

“Education is the bedrock of national development. That is why Briphildon Foundation remain committed to contributing in whatever way we can to the academic growth of our communities,” he added.

*Appreciation*

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Mrs. Irene Yankson Neequaye, Headmistress of Dzorwulu JHS, expressed gratitude to the Briphildon Foundation for the timely intervention.

She noted that the donation would greatly benefit the candidates and boost their morale ahead of the exams. “Children are the future, and any form of support that contributes to their growth is a step in the right direction,” she said.

Mrs. Neequaye also appealed to other benevolent organisations and individuals to emulate the example of the Briphildon Foundation by supporting the school in its efforts to provide quality education and a conducive learning environment.
