Ghana’s Embassy in Washington DC Set to Reopen After Comprehensive Overhaul

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Ghana, is pleased to announce the reopening of the Embassy of Ghana in Washington DC, United States of America, on Thursday, May 29, 2025. This development follows a thorough overhaul of the Embassy’s systems and operations, aimed at restoring integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Total Systems Overhaul and Structural Reforms

A team of seasoned diplomats, led by an astute diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was tasked with running the Mission and implementing a total systems overhaul. The team has worked tirelessly to restore integrity in the Embassy’s operations and complete ongoing structural reforms. An Information Technology (IT) team has also been deployed to reconfigure the website and payment platforms, eliminating all unofficial and unauthorized links associated with the IT system of the Embassy.

Clearance of Backlog and Enhanced Service Delivery

The Ministry wishes to assure the general public that measures have been put in place to clear the backlog of applications and inquiries. The Embassy is committed to enhancing service delivery to the public, and the Ministry is confident that the reopening of the Embassy will mark a new era of transparency and accountability.
