If you adapt the mindset that “you are not the only one ever being in any sad situation” you can come out of any situation – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Rev. Vincent Kankam has encouraged listeners to adopt a transformative mindset.
Rev Kankam, speaking on Kessben FM’s Food Thought, emphasized that pain, disappointment, and hardship are universal experiences. By understanding that others have faced and overcome similar or even more difficult circumstances, individuals can find strength and hope. “Knowing you’re not alone doesn’t just comfort you; it empowers you,” he said.
This mindset, according to Rev Kankam, shifts people from victimhood to victory. “When you realize your pain is not unique, it doesn’t invalidate it, it makes healing more accessible. You can reach out, share, learn, and be lifted.”
He acknowledged that the weight of suffering can make it seem like one is isolated in their misery. But, as he put it, “Even the most triumphant among us have scars. Their joy was born from sorrow they chose not to let define them.”
He cited examples from scripture and real-life testimonials to show that resilience is possible, not through denial of pain, but through the conscious decision to see beyond it.
