GIS Conducts Operation Against Undocumented Migrants

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has launched an operation to address the presence of undocumented migrants on the streets of Accra and other cities. The operation, which began in the early hours of Friday, May 16, 2025, aims to identify and apprehend individuals who are residing in the country without proper documentation.
In a holding statement, the GIS confirmed the ongoing operation and assured the public that further details would be provided in due course. The statement was signed by Assistant Commissioner of Immigration M. Amoako-Atta, Head of Public Affairs.

The Ghana Immigration Service wishes to confirm an ongoing operation, commenced in the early hours of Friday, May 16, 2025, aimed at addressing the presence of undocumented migrants on the streets of Accra and other cities.
