Some ungrateful people you help even go to the extent of plotting to eliminate you from your position, but resist the urge to stop helping others – Rev  Vincent Kankam

Rev. Vincent Kankam has stressed the importance of remaining kind-hearted, even in the face of betrayal and ingratitude.

Speaking on Food For Thought on Kessben FM, Rev. Kankam addressed the emotional toll that can come from helping others, only to be met with disloyalty and malicious intent.

“Don’t change being good because some of the people you help turn out to be ungrateful,” he said. “Some even go as far as planning to eliminate you from your position.”

His words struck a chord with listeners, particularly in a society where stories of backstabbing and envy, especially against leaders, benefactors, and mentors, are all too common. Rev. Kankam acknowledged the pain that comes when trust is betrayed but urged people not to let such experiences harden their hearts or change their character.

“There is a bigger reward for those who continue to do good despite the wrongs done to them,” he added, emphasizing the importance of integrity and consistency in one’s values.

Rev. Kankam’s message serves as a reminder that kindness is not weakness and that genuine character should not be dictated by others’ actions.
