One-Week Observation Held for Late Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II

The one-week celebration of the late Chief of the Mampong area, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, was solemnly observed this morning at his residence, drawing a large gathering of traditional leaders, queen mothers, and dignitaries from various royal territories.
According to Kessben Media reporter Addai Brobbey, the ceremony was graced by several prominent figures, including the Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
As part of the observance, a temporary ban was placed on public activities such as opening shops and holding school sessions, allowing the community to fully participate in the mourning and traditional rites.
In a bid to ensure peace and prevent casualties, shooters were cautioned to handle their firearms responsibly. Health professionals and security personnel were also deployed to maintain safety and order throughout the event, contributing to a successful and peaceful commemoration.
The late Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, passed away after a brief illness. The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has directed that he be buried within the next three weeks, in accordance with tradition.
His passing marks the end of a remarkable era of leadership, wisdom, and dedication.
