A/R: Another SHS student $t@b$ colleague over his missing boots

A disturbing incident has shaken the Kuntanse community where St. George’s Senior High School is located, after a student was arrested for violently stabbing a fellow student over a financial dispute.

The altercation, which occurred off the school campus, stemmed from a disagreement involving a debt of 300 Ghana cedis and a pair of football boots worth 500 cedis.

According to initial police reports, the suspect, whose name is being withheld due to his age, allegedly confronted his colleague for failing to repay a 300 cedis debt. The situation escalated when the suspect realized that his football boots,  which he had recently purchased and only paid 200 cedis toward, had gone missing. Believing the victim to be responsible for the loss, the suspect reportedly lashed out in anger, physically assaulting the student.

The incident resulted in serious injuries to the victim, who is currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. School authorities responded swiftly, alerting local law enforcement and ensuring the safety of other students off and on campus.

The attacker was arrested shortly after the incident and is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
