NPP’s Ken Agyapong Kicks Off “Thank You” Tour with Call for Unity and Reconciliation

Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, former Member of Parliament for Assin Central and 2024 NPP Presidential Aspirant, delivered a powerful message of unity, reconciliation, and gratitude during the first day of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Thank You Tour, held at the Takoradi Technical University.
Addressing constituency executives and party faithful, Ken Agyapong emphasized that the NPP’s quest to recapture power in 2028 would be impossible without genuine unity. He drew from scripture, quoting Mark 3:25 and Matthew 11:17-18, stating, “A house that is divided against itself cannot stand.” His message resonated deeply, as it highlighted the urgent need for the party to mend internal rifts and present a united front ahead of the next elections.
In a bold and conciliatory move, Ken called on the National Executives to grant amnesty to all aggrieved individuals who have either left or been dismissed from the party, stressing that healing old wounds and bringing back estranged members is critical for strengthening the NPP’s grassroots and national base.
Demonstrating statesmanship, Ken Agyapong took the opportunity to apologize to the people of Ghana for any wrongdoings committed by the NPP or its leadership during its time in office. This heartfelt gesture was met with warm applause, symbolizing a step toward rebuilding trust between the Party and the electorate.
In his closing remarks, Ken expressed profound gratitude to the NPP grassroots, praising their resilience, loyalty, and tireless efforts to keep the Party’s spirit alive even in difficult times. He reiterated that it is the grassroots that hold the true power to determine the NPP’s future success.
Ken Agyapong’s address set a hopeful and strategic tone for the Thank You Tour, emphasizing that unity, humility, and grassroots empowerment are the keys to securing victory for the NPP once again.
