No Ghanaian football club has the license or qualifies to play in the league – Kwame Baah Nuakoh

Kwame Baah-Nuakoh, Chairman of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Club Licensing Committee has  made a striking revelation that no Ghanaian football club currently possesses the necessary license to participate in the league.

The lack of licensed clubs raises concerns about the upcoming season’s structure and the potential impact on the league’s credibility and competitiveness. It also highlights the need for clubs to invest in improving their operations to align with the GFA’s standards.

Speaking on Kessben TV with Joe Laka, Kwame said, “No Ghanaian football club has the license or qualifies to play in the league. No Ghanaian club has obtained a confirmation from the CAF platform.

It is not our responsibility as a committee to stop the clubs from playing. We’ve told them (GFA), but it’s the GFA competitions committee that have been sanctioning those games”

As the GFA continues to enforce these licensing regulations, clubs will be under increasing pressure to meet the necessary criteria. This development serves as a call to action for stakeholders to collaborate in enhancing the standards of Ghanaian football.
