Former Kotoko forward Steven Dese Mukwala scores as Simba beat Al Masry to reach semi final of CAF Confederation Cup

Simba Sports Club, a Tanzania Premier League team, has secured a spot in the 2024–2025 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup semifinals.
At the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Wednesday, the Tanzanian team responded to a 2-0 loss to Al Masry in the first leg by winning by the same score and then won 4-1 in penalty shootouts.

Goalie Moussa Camara of Simba SC saved two penalties during the penalty shootouts, and the Tanzanian team won 4-1 thanks to goals from Jean Charles Ahoua, Mukwala, Kibu Denis Prosper, and Shomari Salum Kapombe.
At the semi-final stage, Simba SC will play Stellenbosch SC (South Africa).
