Newly Recruited Teachers Demand Clarity on Reinstatement Status After Validation Process

A group of newly recruited teachers whose appointment letters were revoked last year are calling on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to provide an update on their reinstatement status following a recent validation exercise.

In a letter addressed to the GES and dated April 4, 2025, the affected teachers said they were initially employed prior to December 7, 2024, but later had their appointments revoked. They were subsequently instructed to submit their employment documents to their respective regional offices for validation.

According to the group, it has been three weeks since the validation process was completed, yet they have received no official communication from the GES regarding the next steps. The teachers say the silence has created confusion and anxiety among them.

“We are eager to know the next step after our validation process,” the group stated in their release. “We kindly request that the Ghana Education Service provides a clear and timely response regarding our reinstatement status to avoid further uncertainty.”

The teachers are appealing to the GES to treat the matter with urgency and provide feedback to help restore their confidence in the recruitment process.

They have expressed hope that the GES will act swiftly to address their concerns.
