We will improve the conditions of service of “our men and women” in the security – Prez Mahama

President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has said that his leadership is poised to improve the conditions of service of the security service.
This, he said, is to enable the security personnel to secure new and additional platforms and assets in order to enhance their operations.
“We will continue to work to improve the conditions of service of our men and women in the security services. This year, we have allocated over 6.7 billion Ghana cedis to the ministry of Defense and the Ghana Armed Forces. As we turn, the economy around, you can be rest assured that your budgetary allocation will further increase, to enable you secure new and additional platforms and assets in order to enhance your operations” he underscored.
As part of the modernization process, he said the government is making strides to transform the Asutware training camp to a first class training facility.
He also revealed that the NDC administration is working relentlessly to fix the imminent food crisis that could have hit the Armed Forces, over an outstanding debt of 275,000,000 Ghana cedis owed to food suppliers.
