We believe in you to qualify Ghana for the USA World Cup – Stephen Appiah to Black Stars players ahead of Madagascar game

Stephen Appiah, the vice chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has urged the senior national team to win the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar.
The Barea will welcome Ghana at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium tonight as they look to compete at the Mundial for the seventh time.
The Black Stars will be looking to continue their winning streak after defeating bottom-place Chad 5-0 last Friday.
But before to the match, Appiah, who led the squad to the World Cups in Germany in 2006 and South Africa in 2010, has urged the players to play with the highest level of commitment.
“You know that the game we played against Chad is going to be different from the one we are going to play against Madagascar because they have a different style of play, they will come with different strengths so it’s not going to be the same.
“So you people should tune your mind towards the game, we are talking about the World Cup. Most of you were in Qatar [and] after the World Cup you went to your clubs and you were different.
“Were all experienced it in 2006, even those who didn’t play, those who were on the bench, after the World Cup they all got contracts in Europe so those who are playing in Europe, you sacrifice for those who are playing in Ghana.
“We believe in you and we know that you guys are going to do it” He said.
The eagerly awaited match is set to begin Monday at 19:00 GMT.
