“No one can cage me” — Kennedy Boakye Ansah responds to GFA misconduct charge following Nations FC’s game vs Vision FC

Kennedy Boakye Ansah, the Brands Manager of Nations FC, has responded robustly to the misconduct charge brought against him by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following comments he made after the Vision FC vs. Nations FC game.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Kessben Sports, Kennedy Boakye Ansah expressed his firm stance on the issue, stating that no one can “cage” him and emphasizing the importance of speaking truth to power in the face of what he described as injustices within the football community.

The controversy began after the highly anticipated match between Vision FC and Nations FC, which saw Nations pick a point. Following the game, Kennedy Boakye Ansah made statements that criticized what he perceived as unfair officiating and questionable decisions during the match. His comments caught the attention of the Ghana Football Association, which subsequently charged him with misconduct for allegedly breaching the rules regarding public comments on referees and match officials.

In his response to the misconduct charge, Ansah made it clear that he would not be intimidated or silenced by the GFA. He explained that his comments were made out of frustration and a desire to see improvements in the system, particularly when it comes to the fairness of officiating in local football matches.

“No one can cage me or silence me,” Ansah said during the Kessben Sports interview. “We need to be able to speak the truth and hold people accountable” He said.

While the GFA’s charge against him looms large, Kennedy Boakye Ansah remains resolute in his stance. He has up to Wednesday to officially respond to GFA.
