Positive Relationship: Kurt Okraku joyfully introduces Sports Minister to Black Stars players ahead of CHAD game

Ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup Qualifier game between Ghana’s Black Stars and the Chad national football team, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, introduced Ghana’s newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports Hon Kofi Adams, to the Black Stars players.
This introduction comes as part of the preparations for the game, scheduled to take place this Friday, As It’s clear that the government is keen on supporting the team and fostering a positive relationship between the players, the GFA, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The meeting, which took place at the Black Stars’ camp after the day 2 training at the Accra Sports Stadium, was an opportunity for both the players and the sports minister to establish a bond before the upcoming fixture. Kurt Okraku, who has been a driving force behind the GFA’s initiatives, used the occasion to remind the players of their responsibility to represent the country with honor and pride. The presence of the sports minister added an extra layer of significance to the occasion, symbolizing the collaborative efforts between the government and the GFA in supporting the national team.
“We are all behind you, and we want to make sure you feel supported as you go out there to perform for Ghana,” Kofi Adams told the players. “Your success is our success, and we believe that the future of Ghana football is bright with you representing us on the international stage.”
The gesture emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration between the team, the GFA, and the government in achieving success for Ghanaian football.
The Minister acknowledged the importance of football as a unifying force in the country, stating that, “Football has always had a unique ability to bring Ghanaians together, regardless of where they come from. The government will continue to work closely with the GFA to ensure that the Black Stars get the support they need to succeed on the global stage.”
