We are working 24 hours to ensure our stadia are up to standards, just like our 24-hour economy policy — NSA Boss, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah

The newly appointed National Sports Authority (NSA) boss, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has vowed to work around the clock to ensure that the Accra Sports Stadium meets all necessary standards ahead of the Black Stars’ crucial match against CHAD this Friday. Ampofo Ankrah, who took the reins at the NSA with a clear vision of modernization and excellence, is putting former President John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy into practice, ensuring that preparations are underway 24 hours a day.

With the Black Stars set to face CHAD in an important World Cup Qualifier, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has emphasized the urgency and importance of ensuring that the Accra Sports Stadium, one of the nation’s premier sporting venues, is in perfect condition. From the pitch to the stands, the NSA is working tirelessly to meet international standards, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both players and fans.

In line with the 24-hour economy policy proposed by former President Mahama, Ampofo Ankrah has ensured that the NSA is working around the clock to get the stadium ready. Whether it’s groundskeeping, upgrading facilities, or preparing the infrastructure, the NSA has mobilized a dedicated team to ensure that no detail is overlooked.

“We are working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is not just about getting the stadium ready for one match; it’s about setting a precedent for the future of Ghanaian sports,” Ampofo Ankrah explained. “The 24-hour economy policy is not just a concept; it’s something we are putting into practice to make sure that our national sports facilities are always in top condition.”

While the immediate focus is on the Black Stars’ match against CHAD, Ampofo Ankrah’s vision for Ghana’s sports infrastructure extends far beyond one game. His leadership at the NSA aims to create lasting improvements that will benefit athletes, fans, and the country’s sports culture as a whole.
